PCI is the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS) requirements for merchants that store, process or transmit cardholder data. There are 12 core requirements and roughly 250 controls. What is your business doing to address this quickly growing concern?
- All merchants, regardless if credit card data is stored, must achieve and maintain compliance at all times (all deadlines have passed).
- Merchants cannot store certain credit card information, including CVV2, CVC2, and CID codes (three or 4 digit numbers), track data from the magnetic strip or PIN data
- If permitted credit card information such as name, credit card number and expiration date is stored, certain security standards are required. Magnetic card track data must never be stored, outdated POS devices are not compliant.
TransNational will ensure that your business is properly operating under the specified guidelines of PCI, using only PCI certified POS systems or devices, and provide ultimate protection to your business and it’s customers. Do not expose your business to unnecessary risks by letting an inexperienced processor handle your transactions. We can help!
